This series of artificial acrylic nails introduces Carrazana’s recent engagement with the work of Kazimir Malevich, approaching abstraction from yet another perspective. The series emphasizes process and experimentation, as well as endings and new beginnings. In earlier works, such as the series Nail Polish Tutorials, the artist demonstrates how to paint nails using compositions based on works by renowned abstract artists, bringing together elite and popular forms of taste.
